Mum's Birthday

Of all the months in a year, i dislike June the most. Cause there are so many birthdays in June. Earlier this month i have my brother's birthday, then more than 10 friends' birthday, and Mr, and mum, and today and tomorrow another 2 friends birthday.

So, last weekend i flew back home to celebrate mum's birthday. Luckily mum's birthday fell on Sunday, thus i don't have to take another unpaid leave.

I gave my mum a digital camera for her birthday present. She said "I've been wanting my own camera for a long time, now that i have one, i don't have to borrow your aunt's anymore"

Another story, my nephew Arthur has started to walk! Though he still can't walk properly, but he is walking. When he walk, he stretched both his hands in the air for balancing. It's funny but it is fulfilling to see him walk. For me, this is better than his first words. By the way, his first words were "nek" for grandma, then "mem" for eat, "di" for dad and "mi" for mum.

He is exactly 1 year and 9 months when he started walking. Even though he's a slow learner, but when it come to other things, he is tough as a mountain.

Anyway, here are shots of him when he's not walking.

This is when i told him "Don't touch grandma's phone!"

Ignore. Dialing.

Keep calling.

And he thought i was joking about the phone.

Dreamy Arthur

Forest. He is 2nd in command in the house.
If you want me happy, first you have to make him happy.

Kimi and Forest.

Miau. My Bengal cat.

A shot of Mount Kinabalu from airplane.

Off to Sandakan.

Justin Bieber Singing Toothbrush

One morning in the office..

Friend : Hey, did you listen to the radio this morning?

Me : No

Friend : There's a funny news

Me : What?

Friend : They said now there's even a Justin Bieber Singing Toothbrush

Me : What??!

Friend : The radio says that there this mum caught by her daughter using her toothbrush, and the daughter was so angry with the mum

Me : I also want one. For my niece.

Friend : I bet the song must be "U smile i smile"

Me : No, i prefer listening to "Baby" in the morning

Friend : ?

Me : I can't wait to tell my niece about this

Next To You

Have you heard Chris Brown's new song called Next To You featuring Justin Bieber?

This song is so beautiful. The lyrics are beautiful, the melody is lovely. Over all, i love this song.

Okay, i love any song featuring Justin Bieber.

Did you see his new haircut? I got to say that i miss his old hair style but i can not denied that his new hair is also AWESOME. He look more matured and if i may say, sexy! Before, he's cute and chew-able, now, he's sexy and kissable. Don't get me wrong, he's like a younger brother to me.

I don't like changes. But like Barney Stinson said, new is always better. So, with open arms yet a thousand tonnes weight heart, i have to let Justin Bieber grew up.

I can't wait to see what my niece are gonna say about Justin Bieber's new look.

Chris Brown on the other hand, he reminded me of Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man movie. And i have always loved Wesley Snipes.

Lihing

I was cleaning my room last weekend and found this!

I have been keeping this fermented rice wine aka Lihing for almost 5 years. This rice wine was made on Jan 2007, bottled, sealed and never open even to this day. Notice the red seal is still very much intact?

Yeah, i don't have any plan to open this in anytime soon. I don't know if this is still drinkable. According to my Chinese friend, the older the wine gets, the more fragrant it became, and the better it is. The original colour of this drink was light yellow, then to amber gold, and now mine has turn to black.

This photo was taken from the manufacturer's website.

My brothers ask me if i ever going to open the bottle. And since everyone is expecting a sip, i told them that i will open the bottle on the day of my daughter's wedding day. And that shut everyone up. So, finger cross everyone.

Mr's Birthday

Last Sunday was Mr's birthday. I celebrate his birthday a day earlier. Want to know a secret? This i never told anyone before. I never celebrate Mr's birthday on his birthday. It always a day earlier or a day late. Why? Because he always celebrate with his dad, and i'm out of the picture.

Anyway, here's a photo of his cake. The flavor are avocado and cheese. Taste weird but i like it. I loved the avocado's texture mixed with cheese. Mr on the other hand, don't.

By the way, this photo was taken by my new Lumix GF2 came. And no alteration made.

Wake up call

Can you guess what i'm about to tell you?

What is the first thing comes to your mind when you see the above photo?

Office? Working? You know you are getting closer. But i don't want to ruin the moment. So keep guessing.

What if i told you "funny thing happen to me today"? And it was inexplicable. Never in a million years i expect it would happen to me someday. Would that help?

Oh, come on, i know you know it.

.
.
.

I FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR TODAY.

There you go.

Hah!

That was easy.

So what? I fell out of my OFFICE chair, IN FRONT OF my colleague and a subcontractor. Like the Chipsmore biscuit, one moment i saw the 2 guys talking and next i saw the table's bottom. I fell not because i was clumsy, but because the chair has reached it's ending. For your information, i have been using the same chair for 4 years. And my weight has nothing to do with it.

Okay, now that i have made things clear, i wanted you to know that i think i have handled the situation professionally, considering that i never in my entire life fell out of anything before.

It happened so fast, i just remember hearing a loud breaking sound then next i was sitting on the floor. The 2 guys who first thought it was the window glazing that broke, realized what actually happened when they didn't see me at my table. Thanks to my good reflex, i managed to crawl out from under the table before they get to me and ask "what happen" and "are you okay?" questions.

The first thing i did after i get up, i laughed. I laughed so hard until my chest hurt, and it was an honest laugh. Okay, maybe it was not that honest. I did force it a bit. Only a little tiny bit. I did it to cover the shame, alright. And it works. The 2 stunned guys finally laughed with me. Then another colleague rushes in to my room wanting to know what had happened. And another and another.

I had been repeating the story of me falling out of my chair for more than 5 times already. And if one not interested to see the show in my room, i would go to their table and say, "hey, did you hear the sound just now? i fell out of my chair..." and so on.

Some say that i needed to lose some more weight and some say they regret to miss my show. But one thing i'm sure of, is that i did benefit from the fell. I got an adrenalin injection in split second. Now, i am feeling fresh, energized and definitely not sleepy anymore.

So, try falling out of your chair for a change.

I dare you.

Into the nothingness

This month, i think i have lost the will to blog. Not that i run out of things to say. I have a lot to say but i just don't have the will to do it. I have plenty of fuel but i seems to lost the spark. What it's called to this state i am now? Is this a depression? But i don't feel depress at all. The world through my eyes is still colourful. Birds still chirping. Sunshine and rain still compliment each other.

I think one of the contributing factor is that i'm too free now. My 2nd school project was completed over a month ago. So at the moment, the whole office is idling, while we wait for the next project to start. And my boss informed us that there's a high possibility that we'll continue to go on like this for the next 6 months. Of course the salary is on going too. But i don't think i can last another 6 months like this. Being useless and doing nothing. It is really is madness. To have 100% energy, and by the end of the day still have 95% of unspent energy. Seriously, 6 months of this would definitely cripple a healthy man!

So, this is the nothingness. 8 hours of nothingness for 6 times a week. 8 hours of doing absolutely nothing. I could even hear my brain cells dying slowly if i were to stay very still and quiet.

Friends suggest me to watch movies. Yeah sure, watching movie during office hours does sounds fun. But try doing only that for 1 month. Sure what you thought of heaven will eventually turn out to be hell.

Now, this is my everyday schedule in the office, arrived at the office, sat, open my laptop, read news, check emails, reply emails, read facebook status, comments friends' facebook status, check air ticket promotion, watch funny youtube, and then stare at the monitor for 3 hours, lunch, chit chat with colleagues, check email, check facebook, stare for another 3 hours at monitor, 5pm pack up my stuff and drive home.

It's 4.10 pm now. I want to pack my stuff early and spend the rest of the time staring at the monitor's clock.

My Lumix GF2

I have a new toy..

But first of all, i want to wish all Sabahans, "Happy Kaamatan"

and all Sarawakians, "Happy Gawai"

Kaamatan or Gawai, it's just the same, it's a harvest festival.
One in Dusun language and one in Iban.

So last week i went back to my home town for the harvest festival. Lots of money were spend during the 2 days holiday. I estimated almost 4k. Now i kind of regret my decision to go back. If only i stayed at home and watch tv, i would still have that 4k in my pocket.

Anyway, here is my loot... Tada!

I know, right? Isn't she adorable?

Look at her being compared to the big sister Sony a230.

She and i are gonna be best friend, and we'll have a lot of fun together.

So long Sony a230, hello Lumix GF2.
